“Two, four, set, HUT!!!”

Tackling and sacking the other team with care

Coming at you like a big brown bear

This sport is tough and mighty

Running around left and right

Coming barreling around the refs barely in sight

The format is tight

Blowing the whistle because of something to say

Wow, now look, there’s a flag on the play

Sure this doesn’t take as much work as swim

But during this sport you can get rough and still win

Football is a dream, and a mindset

It takes quick thinking, I bet

So many different teams to compete

Who will win? I sit on my cold seat

Scared to think of what might happen

Was the running back in?

Did the ref take action?

Will he call it, what will he say?

This timeout may take all day

It’s good, he’s safe

they judged it with no haste

Now it’s a race

The crowds all burst into cheer

We scored a touchdown

Can’t you hear

There is now no fear

We will beat the other team

Our new undefeated score to redeem

Or so it would seem

Unless our defensive side doesn’t hold their line

And the other side breaks through mine

We huddle again

This is of course the top ten

Come on, let’s destroy them

Will win the gem

Take home our victory

Let’s all say

We won the game

Our players will be in the hall of fame

But no we will feel the loss all the same
